Take care of your battery and it will give you several years of satisfactory service:
• Only add distilled water to battery if necessary. Never add acid to battery unless the acid has spilled out.
• Always keep the top of the battery clean and dry to reduce self-discharge.
• Keep the battery vent plugs or vent tube clean and free of debris.
• Have the battery serviced regularly.
• Never tamp down on terminals with a hard object.
• Never short circuit the battery terminals.
